Nature Workshop Vietnam 8 Days

Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam - the city for peace of the world. Our guide will be waiting for your arrival at the Noi Bai International Airport to meet up and take you to the hotel in the city’s center for check-in procedures. The ride from the airport to the hotel takes around 45 minutes. Then, you will have the rest of the day to explore the city at your own will and an overnight stay at the hotel. 

Our guide and driver will meet and pick you up at your accommodation in Hanoi to take a 4-hour transfer to Hoa Binh province. We make some short stops on the way to take a look at the magnificent view of the mountainous landscape. On the way to Mai Chau, get ready to be marveled by the scenic natural beauty of Thung Khe Pass - rated in the top 10 most beautiful passes in Vietnam. Then visit a local market of the Muong Ethnic Minority to fetch some knowledge about their custom and daily routine.

We reach Mai Chau by noon and have a lovely meal from Thai Ethnic Minority for lunch. 

Proceed to Thai’s traditional House on Stilts then start cycling deeper into the village of the local inhabitants. This afternoon, we will learn some techniques in handicraft village, how they weave rugs, blankets and mats and buy some local products to bring home. 

Travel a little bit further, you find yourself end up at Buoc Village. You will be warmly welcomed by the villagers and make friends with them.

You will feel absolutely refreshed waking up surrounded by the tranquility as well as the clear atmosphere in Mai Chau valley. 

After a lovely local breakfast, our trekking tour starts. 

We will trek along the dirt trails to dive in the purest and the most wonderful landscapes with the mountains, the streams, the hanging bridges and stair-paddy fields. Sometimes, you will come across the villagers heading to the jungle to search for woods and herbs. 

The trekking activity lasts for about 2 hours. Have lunch at the homestay and get ready to leave the town and back to the capital city. 

Leaving the vibrant atmosphere of the capital city Hanoi, depart to Ninh Binh - to the south and approximately 110 kilometers away from Hanoi. Our first stop for today schedule is Van Long Nature Reserve - where shot the blockbuster movie - Kong: Skull Island. 

Take a rowboat and paddle around the wetland, into the caves and round about the giant limestones. 

After rowing the wetland, we will head to Gia Hung Village to cycle along the Boi River to exploit the nature’s beauty and the local area.

Take a rest after the cycling activity, we will have lunch in Nho Quan Village at a local place. Thereafter, we will make our way to Hoa Lu ancient capital from the 10th century of the Dinh and Le Dynasty with their noble history.

Head back to Hanoi for dinner at a local restaurant. Onboard the night train to Dong Hoi from Hanoi Railway station with a shared cabin. 

Welcome to Quang Binh province, Dong Hoi Station! Here you will regain your energy with a big breakfast and get ready for the expedition in Phong Nha Cave in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. 

To get to Phong Nha Cave, we need to start from Xuan Son boat dock to embark the traditional dragon boat and go upstream. Along the ride, a magnificent view is opened up in front of your eyes with natural Karst mountains. 

Have lunch at a local restaurant. 

In this tour, we would like to promote eco-tourism by organizing activities relating to the environment such as boasting the diversity of flora and fauna. That is why we will be heading to the Botanical Garden. The garden is built in the centre of the national park with 6 main sites opening to tourists: Gio (Wind) Waterfall, Vang Anh Lake, a species showroom, a 30-meter natural pathway, plant nursery and precious and rare plants area. 

While walking on the natural pathway, you can catch a glimpse of the wild monkey and porcupines in a semi-wild zone. 

Travel back to the hotel and take your leisure for the night. 

Today begins with the Paradise Cave. The Paradise Cave belongs to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park and was discovered by the Bristish Research Association in 2005. Since then, it has been holding the first place of being the largest and the most stunning cave in Phong Nha - Ke Bang area. The surroundings of the cave resemble an imperial palace and is sometimes called “the underground palace”.

Have lunch at a local restaurant. 

The expedition continues with Chay River and Dark Cave. 

On the Chay River, you can try kayaking to feel the wind breeze and watch the lives under the turquoise water and the reflection of the extraordinary limestones mountains. On the river banks, the cornfields stretch along the way create such masterpiece of the nature. 

Afterwards, gear up with flashlight helmet and other equipments to explore the Dark Cave - a branch of Phong Nha Cave system. The Dark Cave is about 6 kilometer total in length and the home to many lakes including mud bath.

What really special about the Dark Cave is that you need to go zip-lining before entering the cave’s entrance. 

Water games are also offered in the area and opened for tourists. 

Head back to Dong Hoi City and get ready for the domestic flight to Hanoi. 

Private car will be ready at the Noi Bai Airport and take you to the hotel to rest for the night.

After having breakfast at the hotel, pack for your short cruise in HaLong Bay - which was recognized as one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites in 2000. We will transfer to HaLong Bay with a shared shuttle bus and English speaking guide. 

On the way reaching HaLong Bay, you will have a chance to observe the greenery of the paddy fields and ranges of mountain in the background. Once arrived at the dock, onboard the Junk boat and set sail on the bay. 

Enjoy your lunch on board. 

Awaken your eyes with extraordinary caves carved by glamorous stalactites and stalagmites. Then, jump in the warm emerald water of the East Sea or go kayaking to discover hidden beauty of the gem on the Gulf of Tonkin. 

The Junk boat will drop the anchor to stay overnight on the bay. 

Dinner will be served on board and the cruise crew will hold a few activities to light up the night.

A small reminder for tourists: shared shuttle bus as transfer to Halong includes an English-speaking guide. Please contact our travel agency in case you want to travel with a private car. 

Your day will be truly amazing if you start your day early to watch the sun gently rise above the horizon with a sip of morning cocktail. The ship continues to sails further on the bay as you are having breakfast. During the course of the cruise, you will learn how the locals make their living on sea. 

After a light lunch on board, disembark the ship and ride back to Hanoi on a shuttle bus. 

Private car will take you to the airport for a departure flight.
